Sixties Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen
Take a trip down memory lane to see what our Armed Forces were doing in the 60s. I spent a great deal of my time on the assignments with the RAF, Army and Navy. Photographing, among many other, bomb disposal officers, Harrier Jump Jet pilots, trainees for the 16th Parachute Regiment, training horses for the Horse Guards and the last group of young men to be called up for National service in November 1960.
Some of these photographs appear in my new book The Way It Was – A Photographic Journey Through 60s Britain.
