Sixties Weird Tech
The 60s was a decade of weird and wonderful inventions. They included a cube -shaped car, an electric spaghetti fork, sunglasses fitted with windscreen wipers, a City businessman who had turned his bowler hat into a stove for brewing tea on the go and another who had transformed his into a battery-powered Christmas decoration.
I even met two men constructing a flying saucer in the New Forest. A machine they were convinced would take them to Mars and back at the speed of light! Take a look at this short video and you’ll see what I mean.
